Privacy Policy
RegardAlert is a market news and alerts app operated at regardalert.com. This page describes what we collect, why we collect it, and how to remove it. The short version: we collect the minimum the product needs to work, we run our own analytics instead of anyone else's, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone.
What we collect
- Email address. Sign-in works by emailing you a one-time code. Your address is your account identifier; there is no password. If you join the waitlist on our website, we keep the address (and the name, if you gave one) to contact you about access.
- Watchlist and preferences. The tickers and topics you follow and your notification settings, stored so your alerts work across devices.
- Device push token. The identifier Apple issues your device so we can deliver notifications. It contains no personal information.
- Usage analytics. Our own first-party measurements of which screens are viewed and how fast the app responds, tied to a random identifier. We never record what you type into search. The identifier is cleared when you sign out.
- Feedback. If you send feedback from the app, we receive your message and the screenshot if you chose to attach one.
- Server logs. Standard request logs, including IP addresses, kept briefly for security and rate limiting.
What we don't do
- No advertising, ad identifiers, or ad SDKs.
- No third-party analytics or trackers, in the app or on this website. The website sets no cookies.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of your data.
- No collection of contacts, location, or payment information.
Service providers
Three vendors process limited data on our behalf: Postmark delivers sign-in emails, Apple delivers push notifications, and Cloudflare serves our web content. Each receives only what its job requires.
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your account exists. Deleting your account in the app (account menu, "Delete account") permanently removes your account, watchlist, preferences, and analytics identity from our servers; there is no undo. To be removed from the waitlist, or for anything else, email [email protected].
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
